Carrie has the theory that all Manhattan men are freaks. She dates Ben, a charming journalist that she meets in the park while he is reading a book and they start flirting. He introduces Luke, Ben’s friend to Miranda so they can double date. Carrie sets her up with a blind date that Miranda doesn't like. Miranda quits dating the “Manhattan Guy” after he says that he hasn’t left the city in ten years. Carrie realizes she has turned freakish herself after dating a string of freaky guys and freaks out the very normal Ben when trying to discover his secret freakiness. She decides to end the relationship with this guy.

Samantha dates Harrison, but he is into something she isn't. She founds out that he has a masochistic closet. After that she scheduled an appointment with a surgeon and injects her fat in her facial cheeks.

Charlotte dates the legendary Mitchell Sailor, “Mr. Pussy”. They meet in a bar and he is very popular amid the Manhattan women. Charlotte experiences that like they say never disappoints in bed. But she can’t be satisfied without a real relationship.

At the end of the chapter all four friends end up as single as they were at the beginning of it.
